Happy National Ice Cream Day! What better way to celebrate than with a healthy but delicious ice cream? Not to mention, incredibly easy.
These “chocolate chips” are really cacao husks. If you’d like to replace them with nibs or any kind of chocolate, feel free.
- 5 ripe, frozen bananas
- 10 frozen strawberries
- 1 Tablespoon cacao nibs
- 1/2 Tablespoon vanilla
- Combine, blend, and enjoy!
Another fun thing you can do is just pulse the blender and make your own healthy Dippin’ Dots! My boys loved this.
This is such a simple recipe with so many other possible combinations. The banana is what creates the creamy texture, so any of the following combined with banana, vanilla, and nibs are going to make an incredible “nice” cream.
- Mango, lime
- Mint leaves or extract
- Apple butter and cinnamon
- Cocoa powder and peanut butter
- Pineapple and coconut milk
- Cocoa powder, cinnamon, maple syrup, ginger
